New For 2006 Tax Filing Year

The City of Norwood Income Tax Laws have Changed.

In September 2006 the Norwood City Council passed an Ordinance requiring all residents of the city (16 years and older) to file a Norwood Tax Return yearly, even though no tax may be due. This becomes effect on 1-1-2007 for the tax year 2006.  Tax returns are due by April 15^th, 2007.

This law has been passed to insure that all residents are properly reporting their income, paying their fair share of the taxes, and to keep the city taxes as low as possible.
