Ongoing:

Streetscape Improvements. Trees have been planted along the southern third of Montgomery Road as part of 2002's Community Development Block Grant funded street repair project. Additional trees are being added under the 2003 grant and more will follow this year with the 2004 funds. Several varieties of trees were used to provide visual interest. Planters will again be placed in May. If you are interested in sponsoring a planter for this area or another location in Norwood, please contact the Planning Director , Donna Laake , or any Tree Board member. See the Norwood Tree Board pages for more information on the Tree Board and its activities. Additional funds to do some larger projects will be available in 2005. Ideas are currently being developed--come see some of them at the Arbor Day 2004 Celebration , Saturday, May 1st, 10-2 at the Community Center.

The Zoning Update Task Force meets monthly on the second Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at City Hall. This group is working to update the 1985 Norwood Zoning Code for today's needs. Anyone is welcome to attend and join the discussion.
