There are lots of ways to get involved in planning
and
other community efforts in Norwood.
The Norwood Tree Board needs Nymphs and Sprites to help care for streetscape trees and planters. In mythology, Nymphs and Sprites are responsible for certain trees and plants. As the Norwood streetscape program grows, so does the need for friends to care for the trees and flowers. As a volunteer, you’ll be assigned a few trees or planters to water and weed regularly. Contact the Norwood Tree Board to volunteer by email or call 458-4515. Thank you to all those Nymphs and Sprites already caring for our community flora!
The Norwood Tree Board also needs donations to support its programs and volunteers for activities and events. Donations--tax deductible--may be sent c/o Susan Roschke, Planning Director, Norwood City Hall, 4645 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, OH 45212. Checks should be made payable to The Norwood Tree Board Fund.
Public Meetings and Hearings are listed on the Public Meetings Page .
Here are Ten Things the American Planning Association suggests you can do to improve the community.
The 2002 Comprehensive Action Plan for Norwood
includes
several recommended task forces just waiting for your participation to
get
them off the ground. Please look over the list of recommended task
forces
listed below and volunteer to head one or participate. Currently, the
only
active task force is the Zoning Update Task Force, but if support is
out
there, any of the others could be activated. For more information on
any
of the task force goals, see the full Comprehensive
Action Plan document on-line or at the Norwood Branch Library.
Volunteer today! Call or
email the Planning Director, 458-4515.
