The Department of Public Works is part of the City's Service Department and is directed and supervised by the Superintendent of Public Works. It consists of a Park Crew, a Paint and Sign Crew, a Street Crew, a Water Crew, and the Municipal Garage. This division has approximately 15 personnel.

Norwood Residents can come drop off any old tires that have been removed from the rim or any unwanted appliances containing freon from 9AM-1PM at the Norwood Public Works Building for recycling.
